Call for Papers Start-up Forum—extended deadline January 24

Moreover, it is possible to speak at the Start-up Forum on March 25, 2020, a part of the Business Conference—an abstract can be submitted until January 24, 2020. The speakers will be informed about the acceptance of their presentation in the beginning of February.


You are a legally independent, young, innovative company with new product and process developments? Your company has been in operation for less than 10 years and has fewer than 50 employees? If so, please submit your abstract for participation in the Start-up Forum and use your 10-minute time slot effectively.

Unfortunately, the deadline for the submission of your abstract for an oral presentation for the Business Conference, Technical Conference and the Scientific Conference has closed.

4 steps to your participation in the LOPEC Conference

  1. Submit your abstract: September 5 to November 4, 2019
    Please submit your English-language abstract online by November 4, 2019. The abstract should briefly describe your presentation (max. 3000 characters incl. spaces). Please illustrate your motivation, your approach, the result and your conclusion. You are welcome to add either a diagram, a picture or a schematic representation.
  2. Selection process: November 5 to December 9, 2019
    Starting November 5, a panel of international experts will review all abstracts submitted and evaluate their thematic and technical content. The committee will then put together a coherent program of presentations from the submissions.
  3. Confirmation of participation: December 10, 2019
    As from December 10, 2019, you will find out whether your presentation was selected for an oral presentation or a poster.
  4. Ticket at the discounted rate (Academic Ticket)
    The confirmation of a lecture or poster presentation entitles you to purchase a reduced-price Conference ticket (Academic Ticket). Participation as a speaker or poster presenter requires a valid Conference ticket. We recommend you purchase your ticket online. The discounted Conference ticket entitles you to attend the entire conference and the associated exhibition.
